What is this contest all about?

Karl and I started Metallic Elephant in mid-2007. In the beginning, things were tough and every penny of savings went into getting an old cow shed into a serviceable office and etching room. We both had a long-held shared dream of having our own business in an industry we knew and loved, and without the support of parents in the form of food parcels we probably couldn’t have done it! Thirteen years later, that hard work has paid off. We now want to give that support to someone else.
We see many posts across social media where people express their desire for one of our Metallic Elephant models for their business. Our machines can be used across many different industries to add luxury, personalisation and the finishing touch to a product. Our goal is to find a like-minded new start-up who feels our machine will help them progress their business on to bigger and better things.

So, this spring of 2020, we are launching our Time to Shine campaign.

What can our presses do?

To have found this competition, you will hopefully already be aware of what hot foiling is. From small to large companies, we are proud to have played a part in helping brands add the personal touch to their products. We often find these brands returning to us for multiple presses.

Our hot foil machines are the benchmark for some of the world’s greatest brands, including Moleskin, Smythson, Radley, Paperchase, John Lewis and the Cambridge Satchel Company.

Personalising products for customers gives them a unique edge and creates great memories for those who own them. Stationery, fashion accessories, leather goods, and packaging are just some of the products our machines can help elevate.
