The craft
Embossing & debossing dies
Embossing pairs a magnesium female die with a polymer male counter, or brass for longer runs, to raise your artwork in relief. Debossing presses the design in, a favourite on thick cotton papers and leather covers. Both are made in-house and matched to your stock.
The detail
Fluted foil: one pass, two effects
Produced on quarter-inch brass with resin-mounted counter dies, fluted foil dies use a shallower emboss so the foil reaches every line of detail, giving you a sculpted, light-catching finish with emboss and foil delivered together in a single strike.
